I'm getting close to pulling the trigger. Local dealer has a 2014 King TP on a quick detach on a 2014 SG. Gotta go up and look one more time.
I'm gonna do...
Vivid Black no stripe 53000399DH (that's the King not the Chopped)
Comfort Stitch Backrest 52300314
Liner 53000323
Barrel Lock 90300030
Organizer 53000303
I'm going to do the barrel lock from my local dealer as I have reward points that will cover that. Gonna do the rest of the stuff from Surdyke.
I already have the quick detach rack and mounts.
Anything I missed ? I run a Mustang seat. (not the solo in the pic)
I'm hoping it will look good on this bike...
If I REALLY fall in love with it I could have it pinstriped to match the Anni pinstripe.

The only problem you're gonna run into is finding a way to mount it on the older frame bike. You're gonna have to modify a rack to work with the old style docking hard wear. You might want to do some more research to figure out how to make make it work.
The prices in the PM are right there with what I payed for my stuff.

I have the 4 point docking hardware on my bike and I have an 08 detach rack that attaches to it.
I have a cheap box on the rack now and I just want to pull the box and mount the 2014 Tour Pack to my 08 rack.
I doubt any of the bolts on the 2014 TP will line up with the 08 rack, but I have an idea for an adapter plate.

Well the parts guy at the dealer told me it couldn't be done so now I suppose I HAVE to order one.
His concern was that the old style lids won't open with the '14 TP 'cause the '14 TP is wider.
I asked him, "...the new style bags open with the 14 TP and the new style lids require MORE clearance that the old style lids so why would the old style lids which require LESS clearance not open with a TP designed to provide MORE clearance ?
He got mad and went to help somebody else.
Just for piece of mind I may wait to see a pic of one mounted and see it's relationship to the old bag lids.....LOL.

The only area I see that sticks out any further is the angle to the lid from the bottom if this picture has the TP positioned correctly. The bottom back of the TP is in the same position. So there should not be a change in weight distribution.
