Still make'n progress!

After a good bit of correspondence w/Morefun, I've started making tweaks to the default AFR setting is the DTT. Outa the box, everything is configured very rich ~ undoubtedly to keep newbies from toasting their motors right off the bat... So, after some calculated AFR tuning, I snuk in a test run tonight, before the rains roll in and MAN DOES IT PULL BETTER NOW! With both wifey & I aboard, things are getting back to where they should be. After brief scan of the log files, it looks like I have a good bit of auto-tuning still to go, so this thing it gonna ROCK!

I know I've said it in my last few posts... but thanks AGAIN to Morefun for your help!!!!

Bryan, Bernie, Craig..... GET READY!!!!!

Hey, Bryan I see you are working with the DTT system. I had the Terry Components Terminal Velocity system closed loop system on mine and my wifes bike with poor results [:'(]. I hadmajor problems with surging, a huge swing in RPMs that would not go away. It was the same on both bikes. I ended up bypassing the unit and bought a SERT unit for both bikes and problems went away after a good dyno tune. I spoke with Chris at DTT before I bought the SERT and he was concerned about the location of the O2 sensor in my Rhinehart 2 into 1 exhaust. All of the O2 sensors on new Harley's are within 2-3" of the exhaust port. Where is it located on the D&D Fatcats? My Rhinehart is located bung is only on the front pipe just before it comes together with the rear pipe. I think closed loop is the way to go and DTT appears to have a good handle on the technology. Looking forward to hearing about your expereinces

No biggie... I'm sure we've both been called worse!

On the FatCat, each pipe has a bung roughly 4 ~ 6" from the exhaust port. Seems to work just fine!

The DTT TCFI II comes with 2 bungs for the 02 sensors. My FatCat did not come with the bungs installed. I just marked, drilled, then welded in the 02 bungs that came with the kit. If you dont have access to a welder, you can take them to any muffler shop and they can weld them in.

All the new FatCat's come with bungs installed and plugged. I think they started that in August (or so) of 2006.

Well... we had a nice 325'ish mile ride today (2up) and introduced a number of new conditions to the DTT. It prefromed flawlessly.

We started out cool & very humid and stayed that way most of the day, although I did see 70 degrees on a couple thermomaters this afternoon. Up to this point, it's been pretty dry out. I noticed no differences today with the humidity.

I think I've finally got the speedo within one or two MPH of other bikes. Mileage was pretty good, although I am confident I can tune it for better economy in cruise range(s). Again, I was 2up and we had wind all day. The first tank we got 42.x MPG and when we stopped for gas all they had was 91 octane. On the 2nd tank, we got 40.x MPG ~ still not bad. I gotta say (again) this Baker DD6 ROCKs! - Thanks Bart!

I know this is a repost of the pic, but it's a small sign that the DTT tune is coming around!

This is how we started out the morning.... yee-haaa!!!!!

Hey Phil,
Gotta give you credit. I am "old School" still learning F.I. and not comprehending a single thing you were doing. I a good with a computer, but geez sounded liek a lot of tinkering. I really hope to learn if you hink this is the solution rather than dynoing after every part change.

How you gonna know if it really "learns", you gonna change somehing ?
