Not too much to report tonight... didn't get home from work until almost 9:00PM.

I did get the front O2 sensor installed and all the cabling installed cleanly. As it turned out,I was able to route the sensor cable such that the connector is right on top if the coil, protected from weather by the tank on top & fairing in front! Tank is back on and fuel spill is over!

I also started creating the MAP. I used the base map for the Geralomy TB that is provided by DTT. I also updated the timing tables with data from Head-Quarters and injector data from the spec sheets provided by Marren Injector Svc.

Mark (or anyone else)..... what did you use for a 6th gear ratio (RPM/KPH) value? The default is 23.5.

Should be ready to start tweak'n on IAC & TPS settings tomorrow evening.
I used 23.5

Checked it with a gps is within 1 mph

Mark ~ Do you have a "working" copy of the Mega Boot Programmer software that's used to flash the DTT firmware? I have tried to download it a couple times and have attempted to install it on three different WinXP (SP2) PC's and the install fails every time. I am thinkng the download file is corrupt on the DTT site. My unit has 5.23 code on it & I need to upgrare it to 7.10 before I proceed!

If nothing else, guess I'll call them tomorrow. [:@]Sure was hoping to get further tonight!

Trust me.... I WILL let everyone know as soon as I'm done with this one!

Yes, I will need to comapre the results before & after. No regarding dyno numbers.... I have been reading that some have seen lower "numbers" after installing 3.37 gears as well as after installing a 6speed. Now... I have just done BOTH. I sure hope that doesn't skew my numbers, but who knows????

Phil,
Just assuming but does the TB come with the DTT? I was looking on the BC site and happened to notice they also sold the DTT kit which the TB seemed to be part of that.

DTT is just the closed loop (auto-tuning) ignition system. The TB is something separate. You're right BC Geralomy does sell/recommend/support the DTT TCFI-IID ignition system for use with their TB's. A stock Delphi computer can not properly control a Dual Independent Runner TB, primarily because of MAP sesnor placement.

I'll try to explain this better ot ya this weekend.

BTW - when are you gonna change the light in my POOL! [8D]

Default RE: My New Project!

Small, but significant progress tonight, after dinner w/Wifey....

Another late start, so time was limited. I discovered that the issue I had last night was, in fact, due to a corrupted application I downloaded from the DTT site. I talked to Chris @ DTT and told him about my issues and that I suspected a corrupt file. Despite some of the horrible things I're read about their cust svc, I found them VERY helpful, responsive, and eager to help! Chris checked the recently updated file (March 5th, to add support for Windows Vista) and discovered a problem that caused file corruption. He uploaded the file again and it worked like a champ. He even took my call on his personal cell after 7:00PM tonight.

With that working, I was able to update my DTT ECM to the latest firmware revision ~ 7.10 w/o any issues. I also uploaded the modified MAP that I've been working on ~ hope it's close! [&:]I have completed preliminary adjustment of the Geralomy TB and (hopefully) have the IAC & TPS set right. It's ready to start & begin some actual tuning now. The problem is that it's now after 10:30PM (danmit!), so I'm gonna toss & turn think'n about it all night, but come daybreak.... look out neighbors, he it comes!

One other noteworthy tidbit that Chris (@DTT) shared was that during flashing the firmware on the DTT ECM, it's a good idea to have a battery charger attached to your bikes battery because of how long it has to be powered on, but not running. Given that, I also carried the P/S for my laptop out to the shop just to avoiid any potential issues there.....

Hope to have some actual running results feedback tomorrow!

Agian, I'd like to say thanks to Mark (Morefun) for his efforts in trying to help me with the "Mega Boot Programmer" software!
