I would take the bike out for about a 5 mile ride get the fluid nice and warm. Then pull the bike in and put in a wheel chock or I usually just put a 2by4 under the kick stand and makes it level and drain away. I hope this helps you out

Level will drain it more completely...

But, if you want to get every drop out, you'll have to grab the bike frame and toss the bike over your head with the wheels up. Hold the bike in that position, and let the oil drain out of the filler spout.

Be careful not to drop the bike until it is fully drained. And, just like with refridgerators when they are transported in a position other than upright, please let the bike stand upright for 10-15 minute before attempting to start. This will allow the oil that flowed up under the piston skirt(s) to drain properly back down to the bottom of the engine case...

unlike motor oil, tranny lube does not get corrupted by by-products of combustion or subjected to great heat and break down

getting every last drop out is not crucial

unlike many other makes, the Harley Big Twin does not use a common, shared motor oil, primary lube and tranny lube. ( maybe our only advantage?)

I Have a cheapo jack ( sams club) which allows a drain pan between the supports.

i will use that to hold the bike upright, wheels still on the ground, and let the tranny drain for awhile while I have coffee or do something else

a 2x4 under the jiffy stand will work pretty good too, just make sure the bike is stable.

like any other used oil, jug up the collected stuff, your local autoparts store will recycle it for us.

Upright helps. I let it drain then hold it up for a minute or so. 2x4 works to.
I do like to get all I can out but it isn't necessary to get every drop out.
I use to hold the bike up over my head but realized I am only getting a few drops more out so I stopped.

I wear the hard hat that has the two drink holders attached to it with a straw. That way I don't have to put the beer or the bike down.

Drain it level or the oil flows on the cross member of the frame drips oil all over the place. And it is a bear to clean that crossmember.
