12 touring bike ,standing straight up in wheel chock or leaning on kick stand? seems to me straight up would get more out.
I would take the bike out for about a 5 mile ride get the fluid nice and warm. Then pull the bike in and put in a wheel chock or I usually just put a 2by4 under the kick stand and makes it level and drain away. I hope this helps you out
But, if you want to get every drop out, you'll have to grab the bike frame and toss the bike over your head with the wheels up. Hold the bike in that position, and let the oil drain out of the filler spout.
Be careful not to drop the bike until it is fully drained. And, just like with refridgerators when they are transported in a position other than upright, please let the bike stand upright for 10-15 minute before attempting to start. This will allow the oil that flowed up under the piston skirt(s) to drain properly back down to the bottom of the engine case...

whenever i do it this way i have a hard time holding on to my beer very long, gotta put the bike down to take a drink and then pick it up again.
Upright helps. I let it drain then hold it up for a minute or so. 2x4 works to.
I do like to get all I can out but it isn't necessary to get every drop out.
I use to hold the bike up over my head but realized I am only getting a few drops more out so I stopped.
