Bing! Don't make it any harder than it needs to be.

I bought a Sears craftsman metal body vacuum bleeder. A little more pricey, but I use it for more than just the RK. But, it works great. It makes bleeding brakes a one man operation. No need to tie anything off, get someone else to help, or any other of the usual quirks associated with the operation. I think any of the MityVacs will work fine. I guess I'm lazy as I also have a Pitbull lift that I use when doing anything on the bike. Again, it makes working on the bike a much simpler operation and I'd rather ride than spend extra time if I can help it.

If you break the line above the ABS, unless they have changed the system in the latest bikes, you need the Dig.Tec. to fire the ABS. Would think only the shops would have that. Be real careful with a vacuum pump. It's real easy to pull air in the master cylinders with the cup seal since they are designed for one way. (same goes for cars) Safest system would be a clamp on pressure bleeder. Same for cars since when you bleed, you tend to push the master cylinder all the way to the end while bleeding, the cups get into an area that could be rough from corrosion.
