the filter is part of the equation- the backing plate on a hi flow kit usually has a velocity stack to help order the air for higher flow.
( these are not in stock housings as they cause noise- noise emission reduction requires a fairly restrictive stock housing)
A couple of vendors have hi flow kits for the 2014.
