+1 on the trash in the tank or fuel lines. When was the last time tou changed your fuel filter? Trash in the tank can settle over time causing sediment. When you tipped over, you stired up the sediment and it found it's way to your fuel filter causing the stall. I suggest removing the tank and flushing with denatured alcohol. Shake it up and pour it out. Dry tank with a hair dryer. Replace fuel filter. You should be good to go.

Reason: at 5 miles the tip over is done, over and should no longer be related directly.
BUT, if you had some debris in the tank it could have moved into a position to block fuel flow.
Alternatively if the fuel line inside the tank had a pin hole it could have positioned it just right with the slight tip over for there to be a greater loss of pressure since you did have a loss of fuel. *fuel line pin hole above fuel level in tank.
May wish to consider opening of plate on top of tank for inspection of tank if it repeats or if you are taking a trip.
like i say, when it just quit, lights ,radio, etc all were working, It died at highway speed just like when i used to forget to turn the fuel shutoff on.

when it fell over it was running but apparently shut itself off, i know i didnt do it, ign switch and handlebar switch were in the same position

Guess I was lucky. When I did it last summer on my 103 Limited Ultra (about 1 mph, just coming to a stop sign, too much front brake in the loose dirt) a guy in a car behind me helped pick it up. I fired it back up & took off. Didn't have a problem. It broke a front running light & my ego, but that was it.

Your bike is an '03. Is it EFI or carburated? Since you stated that there was a small fuel spill, I'm assuming it's carburated. If so, this sounds typical of a carburated bike. Wouldn't worry about it too much, should be fine.

It's an injected from what i'm led to believe, it has an i at the end of the model #. Anyway rode it a short 50 miles this am and no problems so far. the thing is i just got it back from the Harly shop and whenever those guys have it you don't know what they may have screwed up...lol

Your bike is a Delphi fuel injected model.
The tip over shut-off was a safety feature of the bank angle sensor.
An off/on/off/on cycle will reset the shut off safety feature after a tip over situation.
That is why the bike was able to restart.
Again, i think you experienced a movement of debris situation which starved fuel access to the fuel pump.
A bike of your age would very likely have some trash in the tank or a loose piece of gas tank liner.
Unless you look you will not know..not to difficult to remove the 10 or so screws on the top.
Sometimes you do not need to tear the gasket and can reuse the screws.
If you do not have the experience consider finding an independent mechanic.
Little things like this are sometimes a warning to "Look" in order to avoid a more difficult situation down the road.

So nobody thinks it might just have been an air bubble in the fuel line after the tip over? On which side did it fall? Would the fuel pick be on the opposite side thus exposed to air until it was righted? Personally I haven't a clue, just a suggestion for consideration.

It fell on the left side. I rode it roughly 100 miles yesterday and it didn't miss a beat. I am thinking maybe the fuel debris should be looked at , seems you can't buy a decent gasoline today and i have no idea how it was treated before. Thanks guys
