Touring Model Extended Service Plan Pricing?
What is the best price out there for an extended service plan for Touring models?
Attached is a photo I took of the pricing sheet from a local dealer who is willing to discount the price $100. For the 5 year plan (the original 2 plus 3 more) it would be $1144.00
What did you guys pay or what quotes have you recieved. Im in Southern California but I'm assuming the pricing will be similar in other states.
Also... This particular dealers claims they are purchasing it from either Harley Davidson directly or from the only Harley approved company and that other dealers with lower pricing are using other 3rd party companies.

Some dealers, in my experience, will not present specific plan info ( exclusions, coverages, who the servicing company is, coverage area ( Canada? mexico?) etc.
UNTIL you are in the office with your checkbook.
at which time you are expected to trade verbal assurances for the required time to read and understand the contract.
I'd ask to see the entire document..and the pricing last if i were you.
In my case, the contracts offered would have excluded some coverages for simple mods which many of us make...so I took the 2 years factory warranty and kept the $1000

Here in Manitoba, Canada I just paid for 5 years of full warranty beyond the 2 year factory warranty at a cost of $2,395.00. The trick is to be careful of which modifications you make; it is all too esasy to give the warranty folks a way out of honoring your claim. Remembering this I can also say that I have had a very satisfactory claim experience; I give some credit for that to my dealer having a good rapport with the warranty company.

Call Jim Palmer at Kutter Harley Davidson in Wisconsin. He will beat any deal you think you have anywhere. And it IS the ONLY Harley Davidson Extended Warranty, not a third party plan. Good at ANY Dealership in the USA.
