YOU need to read the contract and see if it is something that you want

prime questions:

is this a service plan or warranty plan

Exclusions? do you void warranty with common mods? tuner/pipes/ air cleaner/ cams?

Who does the service- aftermarket warranties may require you to do routine services at a shop they choose ( but you pay...)

Are you covered in other States when touring?
( most of these companies are not nationwide in operation or may or may not have financial responsibility outside the issuing State- each contract is unique...and last time I sat in the dealer they couldn't supply a written copy of the contract until I was sitting in the office ready to buy...no time to read through all that...and in the end I walked from the dealer and the "deal" which in the fine print was not as good a deal as promised)

Is the warranty company ( probably not Harley) on good financial footing...what happens if they close doors? Most of these 3rd party contracts are private agreements, and subject to the rules they make regarding coverage, exclusions, arbitration etc.

The factory warranty from Harley is 2 years already...so are you paying for 1 extra year of "warranty" or for 3 years after the 2 years of factory coverage?
If something is gonna break it usually will display itself in the first couple of years

I do not buy "extended warranty " plans- I generally void the exclusions pretty quick, just by doing a "stage 1"

Did you type the dollar amount correctly? $3,699? WTF, that's almost 25% the cost of bike.

I don't think that is the extended warranty.... I believe what you purchased is a maintenance plan to get all your oil changes 1000 mile service and 5000 mile services done at no additional cost. You have to do an awful lot of riding miles to make it pay off. And you usually can only have the maintenance performed at the dealership you bought it from. So if you happen to move in the next three years you may have paid all that money for nothing. I my opinion get your money back and pay for the services as you need it, instead of rolling that into your financing.

This!

You purchased a "pre-paid" maintenance plan.

The maintenance needs to be done on your bike (following the factory service intervals).
But by purchasing the pre-paid plan from the dealer, you are just paying for that service up front.

You could have performed that service yourself (or shop of your choice) for less probably.

Agreed. Bad deal. Unless you are putting insanely high mileage on, I don't see how you would ever spend almost 4k on oil changes. Get your money back. And read through that sales receipt carefully. If they got that by you, you probably paid for undercoating and window etching too. LOL.

I think you can cancel it get most of the money back except processing cost, I've done that with my ESP sold the bike and got back remainder amount of the coverage.

I hate to be "that guy", but how the fvck do you sign a legally-binding contract committing you to paying several thousands of dollars for something without reading it thoroughly first?
