I bought (and still have) a used 2007 RG a few years back. I took a sweeper at about 80mph and felt the wobble, scared the $hit out of me. I started looking at all the braces and wasn't feeling too good about them. I swapped out the the tires then the front motor mount twice, original one was upside down, and still had the wobble. I then put on some Ohlin rear shocks and it seemed to help. I then read about the Sta Bo products and ordered the front and rear kit. I can now go thru my test sweeper 80-85mph and no wobble, feels as planted as going straight.

I don't know about bagger wobble, but I certainly experienced a very disturbing front end wobble on my '12 Street Glide in a couple of sweepers moving at 75 mph on one and at 65 mph on another. The first time it happened it was slight and I wasn't sure what it was. The second time was unnerving to say the least. The common denominator was each sweeper had a little dip in it that induced the front end wobble. My passenger felt it too without me saying anything. That let me know it was not imagined.

I was looking hard at Motorcyle Metal's new improved triple tree and 49mm forks. I believe that the '09 through '13 models with the smaller diameter front forks are as much of the problem as the swingarm bushings, motor mounts and frame issues were on previous models.

I tend to ride aggressive and don't see myself changing the way I ride, so I went ahead and traded up to a '14 SGS. You can definitely feel the difference in the front end mannerisms of the improved triple trees and larger front forks in these new bikes. If you ride like I do....be careful out there my friends!

When you have enjoyed some time in the saddle, look into the True-Track stabilizers and see what they add in further improvements!

Does anyone have any info on the replacement of the 9270 bearing used on 2000 softails ? I don't want to hi-jack the thread, but the knowledge here is deep. My 2000 Heritage Springer can get interesting on some roads with non aligned ridges ( almost parallel to the direction of travel).

The 9270 -> 9270A -> 9209 Bearing has been superseded again.

I got a set from Motion Industries a couple of months ago they are showing none in stock right now but you might call them.

I ordered mine through a bearing distributor here in Cleveland. It took them about a week to get them. I am sure you can find a bearing distributor in your area too.
