My Limited was rubbed down to the plastic when I picked it up, shipping strap caused it...
MOCO sent a new lid, and new inner and outer fairing, as they were damaged in shipping as well.
I can get pic later after i get my bike back. It is a small spot about 5" long along the top of the latch. Looks like they didnt wetsand then cleared over it.
Dealer said Harley told them to try to purge the system by running the bike with the coolant cap off for 5 minutes. It took 3 guys 5 to 10 minutes to finally get the cap off. They started the bike and after 2.5 minutes coolant literally exploded out of the cap opening.
I don't think they can power up and run the bike with the rad cap off without consequences. It needs to maintain system pressure (cap on and ~20 PSI) to raise the boiling point of the coolant and prevent what you witnessed. HD "may" have meant turn on the ignition but don't start the engine, throttle up to over 50% to start the pump circulating, and then it may someday purge itself. If the water pump doesn't turn or thermostat open it'll boil as well. Ask the dealer if they've read TT-430 that addresses the cooling system service procedures.

I will ask them. I learned about TT430 today, so I'll definitely speak to them about it.

It's only been out for a week so they (having to make a living by working) may have not read about it yet. Give 'em some slack and if the dealer is a stand up bunch they'll do the right thing. Sure is a nice bike you have. It'll get fixed soon.

I've definitely been giving them slack. If anything, I've been consoling them. I made it very clear that I have no axe to grind with them. If any blame is to be placed, I blame MoCo.

Not trying to be insensitive to your dilemma but You do have an FLHTKSE and most of the other leak occurrences have involved 2014 FLHTK's. Do you think that the 110 has some bearing on it? Higher running temps, etc. Just wondering?
