Ditto here. I think it deflects air down towards the front exhaust manifold if anything. It does also help with buffeting when the windshield is on.

I agree with this, on my RK it works, I can tell the difference....can't speak for without the windshield....Have not removed mine yet and rode but with it definately a difference.

Most leave it on year round. I did on my 08 SG, and 30K before the wreck killed it, never saw the temps get crazy. Actually lookin for a used one for my RG (already has the upright deflectors that mount to crashbar).

Thing saved my *** from when a rock filled dirt clod off a truck hit my front fender and all the debri exploded up under my faring. It ended up deflecting the big chunks and I only caught some minor dirt pelting in the face from the stuff that diverted around it. I didn't notice any difference in engine temp, only the fact that I wasn't getting as much of an updraft from the neck area. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I had one on my last 3 bikes...01 Road King, 09 Street Glide and 12 CVO Street Glide. Worked great on the first two, but actually increased the updraft on my CVO, so I took it off. Only thing that I can think of is that the lowers on the CVO have something to do with it.
