Spent the last 3 winters wondering if I should shovel out the money for heated gear. Finally pulled the trigger last week on Gerbing jacket liner and nubuck gloves.
I cannot believe it took me this long to buy this stuff.
Absolutely, totally, without a doubt, worth every penny.
Not only do they keep you a perfect temp (with a controller), they reduce the bulk of layered clothing. Finally don't feel like the Michelin Man riding down the road in cold weather.
If you're on the edge, go ahead and buy. Worth it.
I agree worth every penny. I have Gerbing jacket pants and boot liner. The limited has heated grips so I ride with thin leather gloves. I have them for past 6 years as long as there is no snow ice or sand on the roads I can ride. Once you use it you can't understand why it took you so long to gt it.
Yup I'm with you, got heated gear three years ago after riding on the street more than 30 years, after that I wondered why I waited so long. I can honestly say with heated gear along with my riding pants and other equipment that I don't worry about the cold.
Expensive yes, but it allows me to easily ride all year.
