Hey all,
Just a quick update on my previous post asking about LED lights for a Tour-Pak. I wanted to find a way to get my tour-pak lights to match the Kury Panacea lights I installed last summer. One of our members suggested lights from RideTimeTechnologies. Here's their link
I have to say they are fantastic. Installation was fairly easy (the hardest part was getting the stock lens off the pak). Instructions were very clear and the lights can be wired up multiple ways offering you many choices. They are WAY brighter than the stock bulbs and the color matches the Panacea lights perfectly. I highly recommend them to anyone who has the Panacea lights and a tour-pak. As soon as I get a chance and can figure out how I'll post some pics.
Can't wait for the pics! Gotta ask. Are the LEDs white or red? I'm thinking of adding them also but want to add smoked lenses to match my smoked Panacea tail light. The other problem is I have the chrome trim around the lenses and not sure I can removeit to take the lens out without ruining the little HD logo that hides the screw.
i ruined mine of course...24 bucks later it got fixed...no biggie, those things are like real thick tin foil with super glue on the back...gettin the lens out was a chore as well
The LED lights are red - and very bright! What I liked about them was that they have 3 ways to wire them. You can have them as running lights only, running lights w/brake light, or running, brake and directional signal. I wired mine up so that the entire light is lit up for a running light. During braking the inner 2/3 of the light come on. If I turn on the directional signal, the outer 1/3 lights up. It's really pretty slick.
As for the chrome piece, mine didn't have it. I'm not sure how it's configured but my guess would be that as long as the chrome piece isn't over the top of the lens you should be able to get the lense out without taking off the chrome piece. Like I said I don't know what it looks like so I may be wrong. I'll bet if you called or emailed the folks at RideTime they'd know how to get if off.
OK. I ordered them.
I hate you guys!LOL []
Ordered theses too. Just the tourpac lens http://www.waltersworkshop.com/lenses.html
Now I'm off to the stealer to order new covers for the screws.
Its almost warm enuff to ride here now!!!

I went to the stealer today.Figured I'd replace those little stickers with stick on caliper covers. Just before I paid for them I asked the parts guy to look up the price on the original stickers. He said $5 a piece.
I think you need a new stealer dude. Thats more then rape.[]
OK I got everything (but the stickers) yesterday. I had off today so did the install. Pretty straight forward. I used a hair drier to loosen up the stickers and they came right off. Did the same thing for the lens to help loosen up the seal. Popped off easy too. I changed to the smoked lens so I can't do a good comparison on wether they're brighter then the stock bulbs or not (me thinks not really) I suggest if you do this retro leave the wiring kinda free so you cantry all the different blinker configurations.I soldered all the connections only because thats just me.
Heres a few pics of the install before and after. The 1st one is before the LED install.

You have used the smokey lenses, right?
So would you think that the LED's would be brighter with the "Walter's Workshops" Clear lenses?
I've just about hit the purch button to buy these LED's!
I'm interested in what your thoughts on my question is!
Thanks,
