Default Fixed Backrest for a Street Glide

Does anyone have the instructions for the fixed backresthandy, or a link to them? I bought mine brand new from a friend, he doesnt know what happened to the sheet.

I've searched and searched, but can't find anything on the install. Seems like there might be some extra parts for other bikes, but I want to be sure looking at the directions.

Thanks guys.

Take off the seat and you will find two bolts through the fender that have white washers on them. Take the nuts off leaving the white washers on. Put the seat mount on those bolts in one of the 4 sets of holes. Irecommend the holes that will let the seat mount as far to the rear as possible.

There is a clip nut in the kit. You willfind a hole on a cross member at the top of the frame(kind of at the top of the battery). Slip this clip nut on the cross member so the hole in the cross memberand the hole in the nut are lined up. Now take the little bracket extension and bolt it on on the frame side through the clip nut, and attach it to the bracket with a bolt and nut that is provided in the kit. don't tighten anything up until everything is lined up and attached.

There are some parts that are for different models, but whatI just described is all you need for the '07 Street Glide. If you need further help, let me know and I'll try to get you a readable scan of the instructions.

Regards,

Bill

If you don't like the backrest angle ypu can put some washers on the bolt to tip it back a little or you can bend the bars back a little.

Mine also sticks up too far out of the seal at the lowest adjustment, I'm thinking of taking about 1 1/2 inched of the round bar out and weilding the pins back on..
The thing is up in my back too high...
