Switched to the V&H true duals on my 07 Ultraand lost a load of heat off the rear cylinder. Installed their fuel pak at the same time and gota definateincrease in torque over stock at low end andit feels stronger across the band. Sounds great too.
Interesting points so far, I am somewhat surprised that the V&H True Duals seem to work quite well.
My 07 FLHRS plan is, after break-in:
First: V&H Slip-ons, K&N RK-3909, HD Download.
Then if plugs look too lean: Add Fuel Pak.
Then if heat is a problem: Add V&H True Duals headpipes & re-set Fuel Pak.
Does anyone know if any of the above steps void the warranty?

as with anything that you do, it is gonna depend on your dealer. most dealers that i know, will work with you. they know that this is a mod that everyone does, and they are not gonna bite the hand that feeds them. ymmv.
I have the V&H Dresser Duals, Oval mufflers and the fuel pak. I had the dealer do the install (mostly because I don't have time). We discussed the warranty issue he told me they would cover me for warranty issues but couldn't promise that other dealers would do the same thing.
I guess that I am not a motorhead.. I have the V&H TD's and slip-ons but I have not noticed the difference in the way the bike runs.. And it really doesn't matter to me as long and it releaves some heat and sounds like what I want.. It gets me from point A to point B and I am happy with the way things run and sound..
Installed the TD's, Ovals, and Fuelpak on my 06' RK a few weeks after purchase. I can honestly say that I never noticed a loss in performance at any speed, although I am not a "speedster" either. I did the whole install in my own garage with onlya few curse words. As far as the sound, I "like" it but don't "love" it. I was hoping for something a bit deeper, more of a growl, but maybe it's just me.
I have to agree with most everyones comment that they don't feel a difference, 'in the seat' so to speak. I have the V&H Big Shots on my RK Classic and I have no regrets whatsoever with the choice, now I didn't buy the bike to take it to the drags or anything. The sound is incredible it finally sounds like a Harley-Davidson and not the 'Honda-Davidson' it did out of the crate. Go to a few rallys or events at your local dealer and listen to a few bikes with them installed and talk totheir owners, I don't think you'll be disappointed though. Just my $0.02 thought.
