I did Biketronics and had big problems and bad fidelity.
Now I have Rockford Fosgate Amp and "Focal" speakers.
Look them up. They are outrageously awesome.
My system is so loud and clear, and I did not lose a bag for the amp!
Also, I put speakers down in the fairing pointing toward the forks and the Focals fit without losing your glove boxes ! Then, update your radio to add a fader, and balance the sound out... wow, it is crazy good !
Really, it took 4 months of trial and error, and this really is a great set up, major volume and clarity and no loss of bags or boxes.
I second what ^ said. I have a street glide and went with rockford fosgate pbr300x2 that fit in the fairing on top of radio and I went with Polk Audio mm651's which are marine grade speakers. Amp and speakers cost maybe 250 for everything including shipping on amazon.
2807-What amp did you use? How hard was it to wire in?
Here is the manual/model of amp I used:
It should be easy to wire for a stereo guy....
However, we did have a few issues becasue I have a CVO and the wiring is apparently a little different?
Whatever..
Also-- the bike stereo did not come with a fader in it. You have to have the stereo "flashed" or updated to get it.
That made a great difference in fidelity and enjoyment.
Otherwise, the dash speakers will melt your face off.
The magic is ALL in the fader...... muhahahahaha
