so battery checks good, check and clean battery cables ( both ends), look for signs of inner corrosion- powder coming from under the cable jacket
long story short- and I posted on this- the below pic is of a neighbors battery cable--- until he came and asked me, he had wasted $1300 on un-needed batteries, stators and regulators.
BTW trying to run starting OR charging system with any out-of spec components can cause additional damages within that system - a $100 problem can quickly become a $600 problem.

acr,s work good , did a compression check , with relay in and then with out ., after the race I,ll check all the cables . not really that worried about it right now , but thanks
just got back ,I took the battery to Harley and auto zone , it checked out good , but im thinking in the spring to buy a new one with more cranking amps.
I did the the same thing last weekend. Bike started cranking slower and on the counter, the battery load tested "good". I had tested the charging system and cleaned all the connections so I bought a new battery anyway and it cranks like it's supposed to now. Same CCA.

on my 2011 road glide 103 ,when I go and start it after it has sat the engine seems to crank over slow , but still starts , yes the tender is always plugged in .,what can I check . thanks
Likely the battery. I just had to change my battery this week for the same reason. It would charge fine, showed charged, and load tested OK. As soon as I installed a new HD battery, she fires right up now. No more slow cranking or delay.
I'm not saying it isnt a power problem but. When mine did this I replaced a good battery checked everything then found out it was a loose compinsator nut.
Shop retightened to new torque setting and havnt had a problem since.
