thinking about lowers for my 14 SGS (which i just picked up 2 weeks ago, yahoo!!). Dont want to pay MoCo price though. Anybody had good luck with after market stuff? I see lots of offerings on Ebay.
I got the fairing factory ones. They were $299 on ebay...I paid $250 and picked them up at there warehouse in milwaukee. The outer shell was nice and straight. Painted vivid black. Matches real close.. 8 out of 10 overall. The glove box part is just molded plastic. I sanded these and had them painted vivid black... cost me $75. The doors are metal and hinged. Magnets hold them closed. Very nice and durable. The only thing I didn't like is there an orange peel finish. I sanded that down and covered them with a carbon fiber film...like window tint. Overall...I have less than $350 in.... there one of a kind...and look way better than moco. I can text or email pics if your interested... sorry, my phone won't let me post them.

Got the bux for a 14 SGS and don't wanna pay MoCo price?
Guess I was one of the lucky ones who trolled local Craigslist and found a new set at discounted price. Of course, with the re-designed '14's...that will take awhile. My recommendations are (1) looks for HD sites who still offer 20% discounts or (2) wait for something to show-up on CL or eBay, or (3) add to your XMas list...good luck!
Yeah.... aren't you tired of paying for overpriced parts and accessories???
I don't usually pay full price for as you say "overpriced parts and accessories" as I know where to look and how to look for what it is that I want and know who has the better/best prices of the items I want to purchase.
