Default Ideas for carrying helmet

I got a roadking custom and I was trying to figure out how to carry my daughter full face helmet and couldn't figure anything out with the exception of putting it in a duffle bag and strapping it between the rear seat and the tag but it rides on the paint of the fender. I don't have a backrest or rack. What is all needed to mount a rear trunk?

Go find an ElectraGlide of the same year. They are the same bike. Just different accessories.

You'll need to buy and install the 4 point docking hardware, quick detach tourpak mount, tourpak, backrest and tourpak lock.

Other than a "generous sized" backpack, adding king tourpak in the $pendy one...

I'd just go with a backrest, lots of used ones around. Strap the helmet to that, and the daughter will feel more secure with a backrest on anyways.

J&P has this and a couple different ones , or even a cargo net would work just have the helmet sit on the passenger seat and strap it down , pretty inexpensive too. http://www.jpcycles.com/product/134-236

Why not carry it on your head?

Aside from strapping down to the seat or fender, there aren't going to be any real cheap options. A bungee net could possibly work, but I've never been a fan of the hooks being near paint and chrome, and don't trust thieves. I'd guess a trunk will be an easy $1k+ depending on whether you get color matched or leather. The leather one is $700 alone, and I'm not sure it locks. Spending that kind of coin I'd want something secure. You could try eBay or Craigslist for a "take off".
