Default Which grips for my 2012 SG?

I have a black SG and my inner fairing is painted gloss black. I'm now thinking that the stock grips are an eye sore.

Thus my question: Which grips should I go for? I have no interest in heated grips and I want to keep it black.

From the Harley website, the only one that seems decent is: Get-A-Grip Hand Grips-56100008. Which grips to ya'll recommend?

The ones that feel best in your hands! Seriously, this just such a subjective thing on all levels...what feels & looks good tm me, you might find completely dorky! Go to the parts walls at your dealership & squeeze as many as you can...no doubt this thread could generate dozens or hundreds of replies, but the ONLY opinion that's valid is yours! Not meaning to be flip, but that's how it plays!

Hmmm...... Iv'e been riding for 35+ years, but since I'm a new member with less than 150 posts my opinion doesn't matter....

I would keep your stock grips they look the best and offer the best comfort!!

Agreed...its true in my case that I am a new member, but I have been riding Harleys for about 45 years, do my own wrenching, have built & restored several bikes, Haeleys among them, so I think my comments have some validity! And there are just some things thag are so easy to answer that hey...I can't resist pointing out the obvious!

Well, qualifying the posters will make everything right.

Not sure how many posts I have, but then I don't care. I do care about grips though! On MY 2012 SG I ended up with the AVON Custom Contour Anodized grips. I loved 'em. They fit my smaller hands better, they're black, and they actually grip your hands/gloves really well. No slipping no matter how hot/sweaty they get (not much experience with the cold).

The other option that I considered heavily was the AVON Air Cushioned grips. They seemed better quality than the other (Kuryasskiss) popular grips I've seen, had better recommendations from folks I spoke with, but I ultimately decided on the non-air version due to the previously mentioned hand issue.

No problems with AVON products, highly recommend.

Oh goody! I get one more post on my count!

P.S. You can't pay me enough to put a Kuryakyn product on my bike. Just me and my opinion. Guess how much credit the dealer parts guy got telling me how his buddy has every Kury product in the catalog on his bike and how sweet it looks.

I have the RC Custom Excalibur slip ons so therefore been looking hard at their matching grips.

Don't be such a dick with who you deem is worthy of posting to your query. Ya just may learn something.

From one ******** to another. Its all good....

Good point that SoCalMike makes about Kuryakyn...I don't care how they look, but being the old scnool guy that I am, I really like the Avon grips. Not enuf to replace what are already on it. Now, the OP might really like the Kuryakyn, I do not know, and that is perzactly my point.

And now my posting on this tnread has purpose...maybe I can reply enuf times to raise my count to 150, & then my opinion will count! LOL
