I'm curious if anyone else has had any issues with Direct Cycle Parts lately. I did some research on them on the forum before I created an account. It seemed like they used to have issues when under different ownership but cleaned it up.
I decided to go with them since they had really good prices and didn't figure to have any issues. Unfortunately it has been almost a month now and I'm still waiting on my air cleaner. I've called them a few times now to see what is going on and got a different story every time. They said it has shipped but for some reason can't provide me with a tracking number.
Interestingly, I placed an order with a different vendor with a less then stellar reputation on here (Cycleplicity), and had a very good experience with them.
Is this kind of inconsistency with customer service typical of online motorcycle vendors?

I ordered a set of Progressive 444's cause their website said in stock.
They showed up almost two months later, about a week ago. I'm not kidding.
I waited because they had the best price and I wasn't in a hurry, but, I will never order from them again, NEVER!!!
Complete joke.
I can not PM you, but can you send me your info so I can take a look at it. I need to see if it is a Fedex package or what, we have had mutiple package lost =( by Fedex with in the last two weeks. Not saying that has happened in your case, but I just want to make sure. =D
Other than that, all is well here and we appreciate your concern. Things have been going well since the new team took over and there are no issues or delays on end. Of course we can not control everything. Vendor back orders/ shipping carriers are out of our hands, but we do what we can.
Just PM me your info, and I will take a look for you
Thanks

Hello Cliff, I apologize for the delay on the shocks. Unfortunately, Progressive has been very behind on production this year. This is something we can not control and we always let everyone know if there is a delay. There are many different suppliers/manufactures, as well as our own stock. We do not show stock on our site for this reason. We have had pretty much every 444 on order since July, and are just now getting stock in to fill our shelves. I apologize if the wait for the backorder was longer than normal, or even a joke, but we could not control it. Trust me, we want to get you the parts, it is just a matter of obtaining them from the manufacturers.
If you would like to send me you info, I can give you a call or email you and take care of you for the future. We strive to make everyone happy and would love the opportunity to keep you as a customer.
Thank you

I bought some Andrews cams from Direct Cycle Parts last summer and had a great experience with them. Their price was the cheapest (by a long shot) and there were no issues with shipping or delivery.
I ordered my RC Slip-ons from these guys with no issues. Best price too!! I would be happy to buy from DCP again....and will as soon as gift season is done.........lol

I ordered a V&H Fuelpak and a V&H Naked VO2 air cleaner from them on 9/12/2013. My order was shipped on the same day. So I've had a really good experience with them.
As far as communication goes, I received one confirmation email when I placed the order, then I received an update email from them telling me my order is being processed, and then I received an email from FedEx with a tracking number. All of this took place in a span of 12 hours.
I received my products 2 days later on 9/14/2013. Shipping was free.
The RC slip ons I ordered came right away but that shipped directly from the RC. I'm not in a huge rush to get the air cleaner as I'm not really riding much right now but it would be nice to know what's going on seeing as my credit card has already been charged.
It's not so much how long it is taking, it's the fact they are not communicating what is going on. I've asked for a tracking number three times now and still don't have one.
I do appreciate them coming on here though to try and clear things up.
