Why would you run pissy *** little wires under your console in the first place? Do it right. And post this on the audio forum for advice that is experienced and solid. That way you don't get uninformed opinions.

I appreciate all of the feedback. I did find the sticky for my particular bike in the audio section and will print it, thx to the author for that.
I haven't looked at the SG's fuel setup and did not realize it doesn't have a crossover which I had to deal with when wrenching my older softail. I guess I'm feeling lazy right now, but like most of you I don't mind DIY and want to do it right and you guys make it sound easy so the tank comes off when I do this.
Muchas gracias! Convinced to change my mind from J&M and instead going with Polk db651's and a Rockford pbr300x4, I know there's a ton of other stuff available and it gets confusing to us new-to-touring guys but it seems this setup is a good one for my budget and expandable if I want speakers in the lids.

The one 300x4 gets bad reviews, I was planning to get it but decided on paying the extra bucks and going with the biketronics amp and 7.1 spkr. RF amps have not been good in my car applications, they always over heated.

Oh and pull your tank! My buddy is helping me tonight
