Lights on a detatchable tour Pak
Will someone be Christian enough to walk me through, step-by-step of connecting the lights? What I plan on doing is drilling the light bar onto the tour pak and adding a quick detachable connector so that I can have a break light and turning signals; however, I want the option of easily un-attaching the package when I want to ride w/o the tour pak.
I thank ya'll kindly and if anyone is in the Charlotte, NC area, I'll gladly buy a few rounds of whiskey.
Below is a link to the Mutazu website, on the left side, please click on Harley Saddle Bags, tour Pak. The light bar will be on the bottom right hand side.

it depends which tour pak you select...even one with no lights, you can add lights such as the airwing rack w/ leds kit ( red or smoked).
there is also a side marker kit.
some guys add other lighting as well
or add an ultra tour pak- which comes in different versions depending on model year
I don't know what year bike you are mounting it on, but wiring is always pretty easy.
black is ground
blue is run
red/yellow is brake
violet ( left) and brown ( right) are turn.
you can access the wiring at a plug under the seat on most model years.
for my "custom" wiring job I bought a trailer wire and plug kit from pepboys for $15...plug has leds which would help with trouble shooting.

On the side of your bike that has the fuse panel has a bundle of wires that are zip tied up out of site, that has your running lights connections. I had to tap into the stop light separate but its still close to the other harness. Like mentioned you will need a y-adapter and it depend on what your bike if you need the square or the round style. I think 2010 and newer SG's have the round.
It's pretty easy, just a little patience measuring were the lights go before you drill.
