holding it wide open is good idea only poses more issues with that. it is at shop, freezing fricking cold here and the computer will tell them if the bike was abused. so then I might as well dump it into Rideau River and collect insurance. my luck some ninkumpoop will see me and rat me out. think I will stay this course with duking it out with HD and hopefully their heads aren't inserted up their butt and I get some resolution to this.

Personally, I think that's a wise decision. It is a PIA but I think your persistence and getting to the right people will pay off. Good Luck!
so apparently they are sending someone to listen to my bike
they prefer me not to be there however it is my consumer right isn't it
I owe them nothing for my bike (paid out right) so you think maybe that should be my call if I attend or not
they aren't telling me what day they are going
so I cant speak with them about it
the guy from Deely said I would be distraction for the tech going there
either I take that as a compliment or do I take that as a bad thing
wow, just read hole thread. I to went thru this on my 2009 streetglide. 3 different dealerships. Same runaround at all them. But wait..... I am a certified mechanic and know a thing or two lol. Took me two months to get a rep from Milwaukee to come hear my bike, And yes I was there when they showed up. They tried to tell me I couldn't and I said well come to my house and hear it then. They tried telling me they needed this machine and that machine.. blah blah blah. The thing was so loud it was embarrassing riding it. I feel for you bud but in the us laws are a little better. So rep shows up and we talk for a few mins away from prying ears at the stealership. Told him my background and what had been going on up to this point. We then went to bike technician started it up to pull inside and almost instantly the rep told him shut it down. He says that was one of the worst sounding knocks he had hear, lol I looked at tech and said I'm not that stupid after all huh. Well to end story I got a new se motor.
heres a quick update (if that's possible). HD Canada wen to dealership to listen to bike........they say its a faint sound.......think the guy who came here is tone deaf. Get a call from HD Canada that they want to open the rear cylinder on my bike (totally their idea). Get a work order today from dealership that states (and I am quoting) in the event that everything checks out (still within specs or normal) neither the retailer nor Harley Davidson Canada will provide financial assistance or assume any responsibility towards repairs/diagnostics and the customer will need to provide full payment for work performed. If something is considered out of specs then we will send information to Deeley Harley Davidson for further review.
They want me to sign this crap!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me???????????? I am sooooooooooooooo considering a Japanese model now it is not funny!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so pissed at this crap and now this. DOs anyone have Dale Goldhawks phone number maybe he can get them to put up or shut up. This has been going on way too long and Im fed up with this crap. Every time I take my bike there there is a bill for me to pay- even under warranty because I put THEIR chrome on my bike (not one piece of after market on that baby). To do anything I am slapped with minimal $50 charge to remove chrome. Now this?? I am looking at probably $2000, funny around the same amount they wanted from me to trade my bike to a used 2013. Bike not financed thru HD from my bank, hubbys bike same loan, need to remove and replace the liens on the bikes for a price and then the $1300 they want to transfer my chrome. Maybe I should take it back pour two gallons of gasoline on her a throw a zippo and see what happens.
Get on the computer and look up Lemon Law Lawyers. If you've kept your documentation on how many times it has been in the shop, and how long, you should have no problem getting your money back. I had similar problem with my 2007 Ultra,it took about 2 years, but I finally got my money back. It didn't take but a couple months after I got my lawyer. Good luck.
