Bought a '14 SG. The bike is great. Want it a louder when I yank on the throttle but mellow enough cruzin' along. Can this happen?? If I change out the exhaust, will it void the warranty??
best advice is go to a bike night or dealer bbq...anywhere there are bikes.
and see what sound/noise appeals to you.
in general, slip on mufflers can be swapped on your bike with no problems and the dealer sells some if you want to look there.
( I use screaming eagle fatshots which allow me to adjust the sound level using accessory disks and end cap kits)
2nd best advice is take your time.
make your 1st purchase the best purchase.
some of the guys here are on their 3rd or 4th set of exhaust, which is spendy $$$$

Keep in mind that the header makes a difference. Stock vs 2-1-2 vs 2-2. And while V&H and Rinehart are the "popular kids", there are some other great options that cost a lot less.
Has anyone had any luck with Hard Krome products? I had a set on my Suzuki, and they looked great from the day they went on until the day I traded it in. No blueing, great sound. They don't make anything for 2009 onward though--at least not yet.

Yes, I can't believe "I'm a popular kid!" Only took 40 years...lol.
Look at true duals rather than mufflers if your really want the potato sound. I have tried several mufflers on my electraglide and, although I like the mufflers I have, it still has that sort of stock FL sound (which is fine with me).
