This guy does!!! Yep I've ignored all the posts about "Go buy a service manual and read it" for what about 9 years. Well guess what I did--I bought a service manual last week and I feel like I'm back in Grad School. What amazing stuff--torque values, pictures, step by step instruction. So, I have my morning coffee, watching ESPN highlights, and I'm reading my service manual.
BTW------GO BUY A SERVICE MANUAL read it first, if you can't find the answer, then post your question. What an idiot this guy has been!! You know us young guys---we never wanna listen sometimes
I bought one right after my first visit for a repair at the dealership, if their best mechanic (what they told me) can forget to secure the two oil lines from the oil cooler, I thought that with the book I could not do worse.
The service manual is an awesome tool to have around. Last night a coworker was telling me he was going to sell his ktm with only 800 miles on the clock. I asked him if it was a one or two cylinder and the clown didnt even know....? What a tool Lol

I'm confused! I bought a service manual from HD. I read all replies to my post and didn't see any mention of a PDF copy?

Yeah, me too...didn't see anything except a discussion of the hard service manual that the OP bought from HD...that said, the first thing I buy for any bike is the service manual...but, in these days of easy information, and people willing to rise to the bait, it's pretty common to see guys who don't spend the bucks going on forums like this one, and asking questions of those who HAVE bought the manual...and ya know what? There's always some helpful person who's willing to let that guy continue to slide!!
OP, you're correct, the service manual is actually pretty fascinating! Good on you!
