Greetings All. I have an 09 Street Glide with slip on mufflers and the SE air kit. I originally had 2 inch baffles in the mufflers and had a fuel enricher added to those upgrades. I upgraded to 2.5 inch baffles and had the fuel enricher adjusted. Due to the attention that louder bikes are now receiving, i want to switch back to my 2 inch baffles. My fuel enricher is not responding to new inputs, so its time to replace it. Here is the question-Vied, V&H Fuel Pak, your recommendations, or nothing (can i run the bike with these mods with the stock ecm)? Any help will be appreciated. I don't want to mix and match and keep spending money to find the right product. My bike currently has 35K on it and I plan to keep it for another 3-5 years. Any guidance will be appreciated. Merc

If you plan more modifications(cam , headwork), then a tuner like PowerVision or tts mastertune. If not make vied's but I'm not fluent in the inline enrichment devices. Hopefully someone can chime in.
In most cases you can get away with not using any type of fuel management system when you change out exhaust or a new air cleaner. At low throttle, that the O2 sensors control, (closed loop), the sensors can bring the fuel settings back to stock. Outside of those ranges, (open loop), there is usually enough fuel going in to cover either an air cleaner or exhaust upgrade. If you do a second upgrade, such as air intake and exhaust together, it is likely that both upgrades will make your engine run too lean and you will need some sort of fuel management device. EPA standards have required the MOCO to run quite lean to begin with so even a stock bike will benefit from some sort of fuel management. I have had good luck with the Fuel Pack on a couple of my bikes that just had Stage 1 mods, (exhaust and A/C). I also know guys who have used Vied or Xied with good results as well in Stage 1 setups. If you are not going to do any further mods either of these will serve you well. That said, I replaced my Fuel Pack with a PV on my Stage 1 Ultra and it did run even better. I went with the PV as I planned a cam change, which I did subsequently, and I have found it to be a great tuner due to it versatility.
If you want to refine the way your bike runs you must have a tuner package. That, in combination with a dyno tune by a qualified operator will set your bike up real nice.
What brand is the 'fuel enricher' you currently have? We like to know these things, all the better to help!
Tuner and exhaust came from RIVCO. Ran it for a year then went w bigger baffles. Had baffles changed and tuner reprogrammed in Sturgis (2010) by Rick from RIVCO. Ran great until last year when I noticed alot of backfiring during deceleration. I tried to reset the programer, but it is no longer responsive. I am going to go back to the 2 inch baffles bc NY has motorcycle only roadstops. Not just the NYSP, but sheriff's departments and municipal PD's are getting in on the act. Don't want anyissues so I am going to quiet it down a bit. Figured now is the time to retune.

Dont plan on any other modifications. Trying to save up for a new machine.
What problem/s are you trying to solve? If it runs OK, I'd leave it alone. The V&H Fuelpak is probably the simplest to use, but at the same time the least flexible for any future changes.
