New Rushmore Section

For anyone not noticing, Administrator Terry has created a new subsection off the Touring section of the Forum, it's titled "New Rushmore Models". Hopefully it will allow us Rushmore folks to learn a little more (both good AND bad) about our bikes without some of the negativity of the pre-2014 crowd. Please feel free to post your Rushmore comments in this section...and thanks to Terry! 
What a bunch of crap. Do you have any idea at all of what you are suggesting? The 2014 model bikes have changes but they are no more earth shattering then the new frame a few years ago or the launch of the twin cam engine. The negativity of the pre 2014 crowd??? there is always negativity to change, get used to it. I think we should have a section for 2013 models and 2012 models as the 2012 guys are just a touch negative to the 2013 guys.
This is Elitist crap!! What a joke. I have had lots of new Harleys but apparently my 2014 model is so special that it needs its own area on the forum. Maybe we could supply the 2014 guys with a password to be used to get to the area. That would prevent the PRE-2014 crowd from bothering us with their negativity. What happen next year when the 2014 is old news? The 2014 guys might be negative towards the new 2015 fully nitrogen cooled 3 cylinder Ultra Limited Deluxe. Don't know who thought up this novel idea but it is not beneficial to anyone. The only benefit I heard mentioned is an insane idea that having no negativity from others is a good idea. I like my new bike but man that only makes me special for about an hour when I pick it up. Harley makes good bikes but buying a new 2014 Harley Davidson Motorcycle doesn't mean you put your pants on in the morning any differently than anybody else. You are sounding like a prissy little prima donna. Enough said.

Now in fairness I did notice that since I acquired the newer than anybody elses 2014 Ultra Limited that when I go to have my morning crap there is no need to turn the bathroom fan on as my poopee no longer smells bad, but in fact, has the odour of fresh flowers on a dewy morning just as the sun is rising. Even the new 2014 oil for this newer than new motorcycle smells like fresh powder on a new manicured Castor.

Will there be another new section for the 2015 Road Glide, 'cause that's gonna be pretty different from before as well. We all like to poke fun at the roadies, just wait until they get a new vented fairing and wethead motor.

The thing really got kicked off when some folks were just tickled to death about the troubles the new bikes were having which lead to a rash of best bike I ever had threads. those who owned one ddin't particularily like them called wet heads, leakers, puddles, shower heads or the like. We were told they were a mistake to purchase the first year production run. Most of this came from folks who happened to buy a 13, manoy of whom may have had buyers remorse. It always strikes people when somethng newer and bigger and faster comes out. I bought a truck and they changed the body the next year. I felt like I had bought an old truck. I think it's the same thing here.
The 14's had more changes than any bike in harley history. Almost everything was changed in one way or another. Some seem to have been really good, some the jury is still out on and some may have been better left alone. For that reason alone, mnay things are pertinent to the 14's only. Why take up the touring forum for 14 only items.
Finally, it's nice to go into the Rushmore forum and ask a question without getting a smart azzed answer from someone who does not own a Rushmore and has no idea about the cause or nature of the problem. I still read the Touring Forum because I get info there that answers questions I might have.

If the touring forum is taken up by 2014 discussions then isn't it already the new 2014 forum. When the 2015s come out in 6 months will you again have a separate spot for them them as well. If you don't enjoy a few smart azzed answers don't go on any forums. You sound like a troll who wants to encourage infighting among Harley owners and what makes you think your attitude is any better than the sturgis guy you centred out.

You are a Canadian man so step one have a stronger than American beer and two apologize for your really stupid and overly defensive comments. Your Canadian, we apologize all the time even when we don't mean it. I think my bike is wonderful and I also think my previous bikes were wonderful. Now I want you to think about how big the membership of this group is and then I want you to tell be honestly how many people told you your 2013 bike was a piece of ****. I didn't have a 2013 model, I had a 2012 model which I think was pretty much the same year to year. I liked my 2012 and would not have bought a 2014 if my 2012 was a POS. If you are any kind of man at all you will respond to the question How many tod you your 2013 was a piece of poop. If you dont respond I will understand. What beer do you drink I want to send you a case.
