Actual riding is better alone - but group rides are more fun.

I like riding alone sometimes. Other times with just a few select friends whose riding styles I am familiar with. Do not like big group rides and avoid organized parade style rides completely.

I like to ride alone most of the time. I have been riding with my 19yo son lately and because he is a new rider Dad is a little nervous and so it has made the ride not as enjoyable, but being able to share a passion of mine makes it worth it.

I prefer to RIDE. If others want to join me, that's OK.

I was invited to go riding with some guys in the neighborhood a while back. We ended up in a bar about 10 miles up the road. That isn't what I consider a ride. I haven't been out with the same group since. I'd rather be riding.

I enjoy either way. Sometimes, I just like to head out and ride without having to wait for others to show up. When there is a planned event to go to, a group ride is fine.

I ride alone 90% of the time, lets me unwind and relax. I do ride with big groups often and its fun but you have to be much more aware of your bikes position and the other riders riding skills, just not as relaxing. Often I lead the group as one of the road captains and that adds to the stress a bit making sure everyone gets to the destination safely, normally after leading a few rides I'm ready to just get out a lone and enjoys the rode solo. I don't think it would be fun to never ride in larger groups!
