I have a 2012 UC and, as everyone knows it's HOT. I bought a Lenale fan and mounted it. It mounts in the horn location. Around here, you need a horn, a loud horn. I pulled the Lenale fan and put my Wolo air horn back on. Well here comes the next riding season and if it is as hot as the winter was cold, we could have a doozy. I want to re-install the Lenale fan, but I don't have a clue where the best place to mount the horn would be. Is there room under the fairing? If so would it be muted? Maybe inside the left fairing lower? Ideas?
+1 on not in the fairing. I just replaced my pathetic stock horn in the fairing with a Mini-beast airhorn back on the stock mount. I also replaced my HD Parade fan with the FCS.

My wolo is mounted behind the lower, low on the left frame down tube. Near your toes on left foot. You will need a clamp for the frame . Works well and out of sight. Painted everything black so less conspicuous. Make sure you seal the relay from water or it will only last one season. They are not water proof ! Best place I've found. Only had one person even notice it. I left the stock "peep" horn in place and working. A little more noise and I like to watch the HD horn shake itself to death ! Phil Robertson is a rock star ! Camo is my favorite color !
Forgot to mention but you said bike ran hot. Mine was unrideable in summer because of heat. Go to Nightrider.com and get some XIED"s for around $100. They plug into your O2 sensor wires (5 minutes) and work like a charm ! They richen the mixture just enough to cool . Mileage goes down a tad but who cares !? Best $ I have ever spent. Sell that Hokey cooling fan to a libtard !NIGHTRIDER.com - Motorcycle Performance Information
Thanks for the great suggestions. I just came in from the garage. I fabricated a mounting plate and mounted it to the crossmember on the down tubes. I mounted the Wolo to the bracket. I tried to smash the front suspension while the wife watched the clearance with the front fender. I couldn't get that much movement but the wife said there was a lot of clearance. I tried to make sure it didnt come in contact with the oil hoses and made sure it was low enough to not restrict air flow to the front jug. It does look good there. I re-mounted the Lenale fan. Have to wire it up tomorrow. Thanks again.
