Default Intermittant charging

My 08 Classic has started charging at 10 volts then up to 14 then back to 10, restart it charges 14 and is OK next time it starts and charges at 14, 5 miles later back to 10, restart its back OK.

Taking everything apart today clean connections and grounds, any ideas?
THX. Also horn quit working.

My quick guess is loose battery cable connections at the battery.

Loose connection (Battery Terminals, Voltage Regulator). If none of these Voltage Regulator or Alternator may be dying. I'd also have a look in your transfer case and make sure you compensator isn't loose or showing signs of dying.

Same thing happens to my 08. It was a bad gauge. Check volts at battery to see if it matchs what the gauge says.

Pulled codes, read low voltage here and there and throttle position sensor.
tightened all connections at battery etc, checked all fuses spray cleaned all harness connections etc. Started up and seems OK but is now at 1K rpm idle.
Taking it out in the morning and ride.

+1 idle should be 900-1000 rpms

If you are showing TPS codes check the connection right at the Throttle Body behind the AC. Common problem with the Throttle-By-Wire. There's a factory TP out on this as well it is dealt with in the 09 maintenance manual.
