01 RG won't idle when cold

I have a car bed01 RG that wwon't idle when cold. It takes it about 5 mins of running the rpm's @2000 iIit will idle good. The bike has aftermarket cams which i don't know the size because i bought it used from a harley dealer, stage 2 jet kit, v&h ovals w/bct baffles. Is there anything I can do? It's kind of annoying any help would be appreciated

Use the enrichener judiciously while the engine is cold. I typically hold/ leave mine pulled 1/2 way out for a half mile or so.

I pull the enricher when I first start it in the morning and won't stay pulled out I have to hold it out and it takes about seven mins before it will idle on its own is this normal or could it be too small of a pilot jet?

If i let go of the enricher before i rev it up to 2000rpm the bike will die

I pull the enricher and start the bike let it run for a couple of minutes, rev it a little and set the throttle lock and push in the enricher. Don't want to foul the plugs.

Sounds like your choke isnt working, it should stay out so the bike can warm up

If its pulling back in you need to tight the choke cable nut a little tighter. It is behind the **** and bracket. Be careful it is plastic and will break easily if you go to much. Wouldnt hurt to spray some lube in the cable too.
