Default Checking air pressure

Is anyone having trouble simply checking the tire air pressure on the '09 up Electra Glides? I'm considering changing wheels to simplify the air checking and cleaning of the 28 Knuckles style. Any thoughts?

Look for the 90* air valve for motorcycle tires, works great and you will stop burning your arm on the pipes.

I use one of these. Not sure what the part # is, but I got it at the HD dealer. Works pretty good and no loss of air.

I got a set of billet angled valve stems from www.kurveygirl.com and had them installed when I got new tires. They work great.

Would these change the wheel balance at all?

They would change the balance, unless they're exactly the same weight as your current valve stems. I doubt the weight is much different, but any difference could cause vibration or wobble. You should balance your wheels, anytime you change tires or stems.

the valve stem design on the baggers is ridiculous...the moco should offer off-set valve stems at no cost to all that ask for them(including installation). it is such a pain in the *** to check air pressure that some people go riding without checking air pressure. this could lead to serious problems, and could be considered a safety issue. shame on harley.

....It is a liability issue.

the same who would sue H-D when they ride with low air pressure, will also sue if a piece of road debris hits the valve stem.

so they have to cover their a$$. there is no winning on this one.

I made up an extension hose for the front, the rear isn;t so bad.

angled valve stem is in my future next tire change.

A set of Camco extensions for the valve stem work really well and don't take up much room in the side case.

Remove the left side saddle bad then hook your garage chain fall to your legs and have someone lower you down through the saddle bag guard ... It really is that easy :>)
