H-D New Loud Replacement Horn
Has anyone installed the new loud side mount replacement horn p/n 69060-90G? Price doesn't seem too bad, but before I order one, I was just curious if you can really tell a difference from the puny stock horn. Also, the description says it's an "easy" replacement. I've seen that before and I've found out the hard way that it isn't always easy.

Wanna follow this as the horn on my RG sucks. Funny thing is the last HD horn I put on my Road King is quite loud. It being an 01 I have had about 5 horns on it. Mostly stock except a couple so gotta wonder what HD does with their horns.

There is a "tuning" screw on the horn and if your horn is weak, you can try turning that screw a little in each direction. One way will make it louder. The horn on my son's 11 Road Glide Ultra was louder than the one on my Road King so I tried the screw thing and they are about the same now. It is a small phillips head screw held in adjustment by a lock nut. The horn will get louder and louder until it won't work any more. Then turn the screw back a little, tighten the lock nut and put it all back together. The horn must be made by the lowest bidder but can be made to work pretty well.

I bought the hi/lo pair of Fiamm Freeway Blaster horns, they were only $15 ea. The hi/lo combination is what makes car horns so noticable. I tested them last night and found the lo one sounds the same as the stock 2012 horn. So no need to swap that one. I'm going to install the hi horn under the left side cover with a relay.
