Default Detachable Tour-Pak Conversion Kit

Thinking about getting the Detachable Tour-Pak conversion kit installed on my
2014 Ultra Limited. Anyone have this now and if so are you satisfied with the results? My ride is the 2 tone brown Limited. Not sure how it will look.

I installed the kit on my old '08.
I don't think I removed the tourpak more than 3 or 4 times in five years.
A fairly expensive accessory even though I installed it myself.
It was a waste of money for me.
Sold the kit to forum member here when I bought my '13.

I have one on my 2013 Ultra and love it. It's a little awkward to remove the tour pak and requires patience but once you have the hang of it, it frees the back of your bike up. I want to order one for my new 2014 model (arriving tomorrow!), but I hear there is a wait until June !!! At least this is in Australia. The price here for the full relocation kit is just shy of $1000 Australian. Can someone check out if they are available in the US please as I may end up bringing one in rather than waiting.

I'm being told that it is on backorder here in the states. About a 30 day wait.

I have had mine on for about 2 months now and love the way it looks with and without the tour pack I really like the big bright light that are installed on the saddle bags.my bike is the Pearl charcoal and silver and I have the red lights installed I think it looks good, I usually take my tour pack of during the week and put on my solo seat it only takes about 5 minutes to change everything around

I find the difference with and without the tour pak to be massive. Definitely not top heavy when its removed.

You can really feel the heavy tour pak and mount as it rides up high. Not as much as a passenger, but you always know it is there.

It also makes it much more difficult to casually swing your leg over to mount. With the pak on I have to step over the saddle.

Spends most of it's time hanging on the wall unless I plan on a passenger.

For some, they are always carrying stuff around, and for them a permanent mount is fine.

I try to carry as little stuff as possible. YMMV
