say this in Jeff Foxworthy voice to the "you might be a redneck" tune.

If you need EARPLUGS to ride your own Harley

Then

You effein pipes are too loud !!

Not trying to be a jerk or anything but if you in the seat have to wear plugs because the pipes are too loud what do you suppose it sounds like at the business end of that bomb ?? To anyone near the rear of that bike?

It sure is a LOT cheaper to get even custom ear plugs instead of new quieter mufflers but dang it is our right to make noise !! God. Guns and excessive decibels is in the constitution after all. Haha.

To me this is just funny stupid stuff. Really ??

Motorcycle riders are the vast MINORITY of road users, citizens and therefore voters. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Hey I bet it sounds good, to me just about any Harley sounds good but the volume is what can cause issues.

For the OP maybe living in children of the corn land is no real big deal because all you are going to do is scare some birds eating corn !!

Seriously though think about it and how silly a thing it is to need earplugs because your own dang bike is so loud that you cannot tolerate it. Yo ! McFly !!

FWIW I am not mad or anything and I am laughing at myself and especially this subject !!

Keep laughing until your ears start ringing. You are completely clueless on this one. It is the wind that damages the cilia in your ear canals and PERMANENTLY damages your hearing. Ask any of us old timers. Tinnitus is NOT funny. The use of earplugs has NOTHING to do with how loud your pipes are.

That's what I use. Cuts down the wind buffeting and and the rumble from the pipes. But you can still hear the pipes and can hear the stereo even better with them in.

I use the type that shooters use. They're rubber with "barbs" to fit in the ear. When I have them in and my wife's talking to me, I can't hear her.

You are actually the clueless one. The OP never said it was wind noise. Losing some of your reading comprehension skills ??
