When I went to put my chrome strut covers back on prior to installing the docking brackets I noticed there were no holes in the cover to allow the bracket screws to go through, therefore I could not put the chrome strut covers back on, WTF. Anyone had this problem on a UC Limited? Looked all through the catalog, found the black ones with the holes but no chrome.
I would pose that question to the parts guys, theyve been useful to me in the past. Take a look at the stock bikes that come with the hardware and snap a pic to show him/her.Post up what you come up with.
If you could post a picture of your current strut covers mounted on the bike with the tour pack bracket removed. Maybe we can see better what you are talking about and be able to assist. The stock covers should work as the 4 point dock hardware I believe goes in the same holes as the original tour pack mount. The main reason the kit includes new ones is to eliminate the holes where the stock mount comes up to the tour pack.
47502-09 Fender support cover, left and 47504-09 Fender support cover, right, are the two parts references from the HD 4 point docking hardware kit I purchased and installed on my 2011 FLHTC.

Yes, I got them off the instructions for the kit. Dealership says $130.00 each. They can keep um. My bike is black, I went with the black docking kit and I am really happy with the look so Im going to leave the strut covers off.
