Have found on a site seeing ride we usually only make around 200-300m/d, if we decide to just get someplace we can make a easy 500-600 in a day but butt sore after. I prefer the slower pace and stopping as can when can to enjoy the sights of an area to the faster pace miss most of the unique stuff style. Have made as few as 100 miles in a full day besides as we rolled thru Colorado back country, just too much to take in.

I would agree with the others do some 200 mile days before you go on your trip. I think long rides take stamina, your body needs to get used to sitting in the riding position for a few hours, and you need to get used to concentrating on the roads and traffic for several hours at a time.
Plan to stop every 75 minutes or 100 miles to gas up and get something to drink. Never miss an opportunity to fill one tank and empty another! Walk around for a little while after gassing up. Have somebody to check in with once or twice a day with a text message or call, don't forget your phone charger. Bring some zip ties, basic tools, couple bungie cords, air compressor so you don't have to use the ones at the gas stations, good rain gear.
I'd love to do a trip like that, good luck and let us know.

Can you read a map, I'm not being a smart *** but I know guys that can't. They always follow, If they break down someone has to stay with them so they can find their way. With the time you have I would go exploring and stay off the interstate.

SYNTHETIC UNDERWEAR!!!

You thought a dog was man's best friend? There is nothing better than synthetic underwear on a long ride.
