Default Any '10 FLHX Owners With TD Crusher Mellows?

I tried a search for this info but didn't run into what I wanted.

I am still trying to figure out what to do, I just have to get rid of these awful Cobra true dual pipes on the bike I bought from a guy late last year.

I have a 2010 Street Glide that I am looking for a not overly loud pipe setup. Ran across some info from another member regarding the Crusher Mellow mufflers.

Anyone have the True Dual Kuryakyn setup with the Crusher Mellow Mufflers?

How do you like it, installation issues, etc.? Any extra parts that are needed?

As always, thanks for your time.

Kury true duals are V&H Dresser Duals, same thing, they just rebadge.

I have V&H Dresser Duals and regular Crushers and they sound GREAT. I personally dont think they are all that loud, but everyone's different.

I think a buddy of mine has the Crusher mufflers and I like them, just not sure if they are mellows or regular or what pipe he is using.

Thanks for the info!

Here is a new wrench in the program. Kuryakyn stated they are approximately 5" in end diameter. This bike has John Shope extended saddlebags that would not clear that diameter. Kuryakyn was not specific enough on size. Anyone with this similar set-up?

Just a follow-up. I went with the V&H Dresser Duals and the Kuryakyn Crusher Mellow Mufflers. Easy to install, look great and sound even better. I went with the Slipstream tips to make sure they clear the end of the extended bags. That turned out to be a good decision as the Trident tips probably would have interfered. I'll have it tuned sometime in the future.

I was thinking of the Mellows myself. I currently have CFR's which sound amazing, but a bit to loud for my everyday riding. Are the Mellows still able to bark when on it?

Yes, that is one of the advertising points. They just have a nice deep throaty sound but sound very nice when on it. Another member told me his dyno guy is putting a lot of Mellows on bikes due to getting good numbers on the dyno.

I have the mellows with V&H Power Duals. They do help produce good dyno numbers. I like the sound. I do not think they are quiet necessarily but are more mellow at highway speeds vs the Twin slash rounds I had previously.
