Headlight will not aim
The headlight on my 04 Road King will not aim. I have pulled in so far down that the low beam is useless and the high beam is still up in the trees. Bad bulb? Lens?
could be bad bulb- you have a standard H4/ 9003 ? type
2.) stock or do you have an "E Code" lens- Euro spec?
Europeans usually run the low beam quite close top the vehicle- generally lower road speeds in the city-

I found the stock head light to be almost as useless as the air temp gauge. The high beam was only good for lighting up street signs. I switched to the HD LED headlight and have found much better results. There is minimal separation between Hi and Lo beam.
The stock headlight has two advantages
1) I could see the road as I went around a curve much better
2) It don't cost nowhere near as much as the LED headlight

but the filaments may be out of whack.
the bulb cannot be upside down, it only goes in one way, make sure that there is not material in the grooves that index the bulb.
what headlight housing do you have ?

Sounds like either a bulb defect, or it's not seating correctly on the back of the housing. Try swapping with another bulb if you have one and haven't already.

Agree! Id look and make sure all the tabs are in the right slots, then try another bulb, than maybe you may have to shim the bulb housing up or down in the nacelle to get an adjustment.
yes, and that is what we are looking at.
each of the 2 filaments ( 1 for low, 1 for high) needs to be correctly aligned with the reflector to project properly.
so that is why we are asking if the bulb is in properly forward/backwards as that would take the filaments "out of focus" with the reflector/lens.
or a bulb if which a filament has shifted can do same.
follow?
for the 3rd time, do you have the stock headlight housing?
