Default Short or Long Angled Adj. Highway Peg Mounts?

So I tried using the highway pegs I had on my RKC on my Ultra Limited and they just don't work. They are to close to the fairing and they just are not comfortable.

So with that said I'm looking at the Angled Adjustable Highway Peg Mounts. Not sure though if I should be looking at the short or long ones though. I think short, but could use some advise from those that have them.

I'm 6-1, 235lbs with a 32" inseam. I'm thinking short just by looking at where they end up, but am not positive.

Thanks for the help.

Funny you ask....I just received my HD long's today. About 15 minutes ago. I am 5-10 with a 31" inseam and I bought the long. Why the long? Because it's easier to just move the whole unit up and angle the arm down if they are too long. If you get the short and they are too short....you are out of luck.

These Kury short mounts worked well for me. I am 6'3', 34" inseam.

6' 1" with 32" inseam here also, and using the Short Angled mounts on my Street Glide.
They work just fine for me.

I bought the long ones and always felt there were to close. Went to the dealer and my parts guy held up the short ones and they were perfect. Sold the long ones bought the short ones. I'm a sawed off little MF. 5'7" on a good day. Like to position them where I can rest my heels on the boards and toes on the pegs. Its good to have multiple leg positions on a long ride.

If the long ones are too close can't you just move the whole unit up on the guard and the rotating arm down? Just curious...

They Kuryakyn Tour Techs are the same as the HD ones but much cheaper. Lots of asking the same question today about pegs...

You could if you have the room but bolting them up tightly will scratch the chrome on the crash bar and if you have a ultra with lowers the positioning is somewhat limited because of the big knuckle part of the mount. Maybe you could install them backwards? Plus I like mine down lower so I can rest my heel on the boards and toes on the pegs.
