Default Roadking cvo FLHRSE4 -08 110cui

I have in my possession a vrod cvo 06 and during the years have have got to learn this motor , iknow revolution inside and out, can rebuild a engine and know where or what to do to boost up to get more rwhp and still dont step over the red line so on and so on..

Now iam moving over to roadking cvo 110cui screamin eagle, but twincam engine is for me still unknown grounds, RK is now completley stock only thing have been done is stage1(filter and exhaust)
But i have thougt of bringing that up a notch or two, on second thought i go for two)

So my q is :
i need input on what to get done my goal would be 121rwhp and 124tq i think those number would be easy to find. goal number two is past those numbers

in the beginning here is what i have thought of:

- porting heads with 1mm oversized valves , behive springs (expirience from revolution)
- other cams ( uncerten what cams to use)

Hopefully there is som engine guru's in here who have the expirience and can be a little teacher in this.

There are a wide variety of ways of tuning a big twin! Probably far more than any one of us can take in and decide on, without using a pin and blindfold! We have a Tech Engine section where you will find useful info and the Sticky at the top of this Touring section on Dyno numbers is worth a browse. My own preference is to identify a tuning shop and talk things through, to get a known and proven package of parts.

With those numbers you are trying to obtain, make sure that your bottom end will be able to handle the power.

Just like grbrown has mentioned, check the engine section. Also lot of folks on the CVOHarley site have gotten some good numbers with the 110" motor.

Some of the earlier 110 motors had some engine problems mostly the 2007 and 2008 model years.

As far as cams, that's a whole new bag of worms to open up. Tman, GMR, fueling, Woods, Andrews are just a few cams that get good results.

You can get big horsepower and torque, it just depends how much you want to spend for it!

Good luck with your project.

Heads leaking down mostly.

Also the 110" motors AND smaller motor from the MoCo are known for having lifter problems but more on the 110" motors. Some have lost the lifters from 17k to 30k on the clock. I was lucky and had mine replaced under ESP at about 31k.

Mothership is on like the 3rd or even maybe now 4th SE comp sprocket design too. (I lost count)

Not trying to discourage you buy all means, CVO's are nice bikes, (as you may know, now having two) it's a shame that you spend so much money for the top of the line bike that Harley makes and they put cheap parts and cut corners in the motor which is the heart of the motorcycles. Wish they would do it on the other items they make like bar stools, glassware etc, instead of the bikes. But they probably cut corners there too!

I have placed this in engine section .
Thanks for youre input, as i said i know revolution , but TC im unknown of, all engine types have their + and -.
If it means to replace serveral parts in engine I WILL HAVE THAT DONE.
I dont want a problemchild.

I will not cut corners anywhere, i take the cost to have the bike as god as there is possible to get it , that also include the engine.

Hi, I've just bought over a 2008 FLHRSE4. You've mentioned that there are some engine problems with the 07 and 08 CVOs, may I know what kind of problems are we talking about? Was there a recall that I'm not aware of?
Thanks in advance for your advise.
