Occasionally when I go to start my bike nothing happens. It is just dead. So far turning the ignition or the "Run" switch off and back on has worked, but really concerned that the next time out in the middle of nowhere this won't work. Has anyone else had this problem? I ride a 2012 ultra. Thanks!
Before the switches check the start relay. Easier and cheaper. You can also get a push button for the rear of the starter. Never get stranded again.

these are complicated systems, so a fair amount of brain sweat is required to figure it out. ( and the best situation to find this if when it is in "fail mode", metering through the whole system to find the fault)
try to determine IF the ignition switch OR the kill switch have anything to do with this.
IF you have extra high wattage bulbs up front, the extra load can take out the ign switch...wiggle wiggle can make it work before it fails all together
2 of the times it has happened the blinkers were flashing like the alarm system (factory) had not been deactivated so I try to use both key fobs thinking the battery was dead in one of them. Did not make a difference. This past weekend when it happened the alarm system did not seem to be in the mix.
Same thing happened to me about a month ago. I had already checked battery connections. A suggestion was given to spray cleaner into the run/stop switch.
I took it apart and did that. No problem since. Pretty sure that was the problem. I now just leave the switch in the run position. No need to use it.
