I installed a catless stock head pipe on my 2012 SG about a month ago. Just now the weather is nice enough to ride.I keep smelling something hot after I ride a little. Last night we got home and I started checking for the burning like smell and noticed the right side muffler was super hot but the left one was just kind of warm! I can fill exhaust coming from both pipes. Confused on what could cause this. Bike runs great. Any ideas would be helpful.
Not sure if your bike is running right or not, but on a stock head pipe, most the exhaust flows out the right side muffler, its normal for the right side to be hotter. The reason is, its the path of least resistance.

+1....well said.
I have a catless head pipe, SE street performance slipons, SE ventilator (with download) and XIED's - no tune and she runs great.
Thanks for all the input guys!
You know old Merle Haggard once had a song that said "I think I'll just set here and drink" I'll change it a little and sing "I think I'll just get on my bike and ride"
