What is the purpose of this? I have not heard of issues with the roller thrust bearing. In fact, I would prefer the roller thrust bearing rather than a solid disk that will not let the same amount of lubricant in between the sprocket and washer. Maybe I don't have the whole story but I see this part as a non issue. The real issue is the ramps hardness, or lack of.
I agree, all three of mine have been ramp related!
Hi all, resurrecting this old thread for my 1k comp inspection, So far so good, looks like the Compensaver is doing a good job of keeping ramps and spokes lubricated. They're smooth and shiney. The Hayden wore in nicely,Only a little whine when in first with clutch in, Very low volume,Not worried about it. Going to leave it in and put 2500 to 3k miles on it before I look inside again. And yes I'm going to reuse this gasket one more time.
P.S. Also want to mention I'm using Castrol POWER RS V-TWIN 4T 20-50 Synthetic. This stuff is sweet as honey. I like a lot.

Good to hear, sadly with the 2014 comp I was using it looked fine as well after 1000k. Even though bandit clutches said not to use formula plus oil from Harley I had to give it a try to see if this forth comp might last a little longer.
Reviving this thread for an update. I recently had my primary open again to install the new Thrust Washer from GMR Performance.(That is now included with the Compensaver as a kit) Everything looked good,Plenty of lubrication from the Compensaver,Until I pulled the bolt out and looked inside the part that slides onto the splines on the shaft. I had began to wipe it with a rag, very well lubed,But then I saw the rag had red rust colored stains on it, Looked inside and this is what I saw.The dreaded red fretting! This is only 1500 miles on it and I had wiped it first. So I want to know WTF is HD making these things with? Can't they use an alloy that will not rust when coated with oil/lube???
