Should I put some miles on this thing like the dealer says?

Actually the cost of the 2 year ESP was more than enough to do a couple of Comps and then some! Don't even want to know how much 2 more years would cost on a four year old bike.

Update, got the shifter seal and new 14 "A" version comp covered by ESP, didn't like the idea of glue and plastic inside the cover, I would be riding with my head cocked listening for it to let loose and grind up. Lol as well as wondering how long this comp will last. Since I was covered by ESP I went ahead and got the new o/p cover, compensaver and Hayden tensioner. Ready to button it all back up and go for a nice long test ride. I'll let y'all know how it holds up in 500 miles, when I check the wear in on the Hayden.

Coming soon is a fiber/plastic thrust washer to replace the roller bearing in the 2014 comp.

Thanks, soft 02. I'll pick one up to have on hand when they''re released. I'll be opening it up at 500, 1000 and 2000 miles anyway. I guess I should look for a sale on fluids.

Default Primary Chain with Comp replacement

Just a quick question as I'm getting ready to replace my comp with the latest A version.
I've decided to replace the chain as well on my 09 with 65k. I've had the primary cover off before and ground the inner primary front lower lip to remove and replace the comp.
Question: Will I be able to remove and replace the primary chain without removing the clutch housing?
From looking at a few pics here looks like it will be close towards the rear side of the inner primary housing.

Gotta pull the comp and clutch to do the chain.

Many say when replacing the the comp (have to remove the comp, adjuster and clutch to replace the comp) but I didn't have to remove the clutch to remove the comp as there was enough slack in the chain after removing the adjuster.
Was just curious looking at some of the pics if there was just enough room between the clutch sprocket and the primary housing to finish removing the chain after the comp has been removed.
This part I cant remember when I had mine apart.

I just did one yesterday and you do NOT need to remove the clutch to get the chain off.
