Default road king standard to custom dash

I really don't like the road king standard dash and really like the dash on the road king custom. Can I switch the dash out and keep my same speedo? Will the blinker/neutral/oil light plug in the same?

Yes but you have parts to change to make it look factory. You should check to see the other parts needed. Its not a simple one for one swap

I have a RK Custom, I'm not sure exactly what parts you'll need, but judging by the two photos posted, I think you'll need the dash, dash insert, and a different seat(?). If I remember correctly the RK and RK Classic have a shorter dash panel-which needs a seat with a longer 'nose' to cover the gap. On my bike the dash goes all of the way under the seat, and it has a shorter nose. There is no gap between the end of the seat and the dash.

What's the difference between the dash and dash insert? I know a guy with a custom and we both have street glide seats so I know the seat will work

The dash insert is the 'rippled' piece of metal that fits around the ignition switch..I'm not sure how it is on a standard dash, but on the custom it's a separate piece.

Look in a parts book and see what is different. There are a couple on line.
