Default Best year for Street Glide

I was thinking about buying a Street Glide and was wondering what year or years would be the best to look for? Thanks.

Regarding the Street Glide (FLHX), the best models years are 2009-up.

Crim and Fender, Thanks. Mostly looking for the years they got most the bugs out.

2009 and up. The revisions made that year were game changers.

Harleys change incrementally.
there is almost always progress, get the newest model your budget will allow.

if looking at 2014 models, you can easily compare the added features on the 'Special' compared to the 'regular' Street Glide on the H-D website

Just my thoughts here, I would get a "last year" model, prior to HD making a change and starting something new that has to have the bugs worked out.

2006, last year of the 88's (first year of the street glide)
2011 last year of the 96's (not positive on this, may be 2010)
2013 last year of the non Rushmore models

When my budget allows, I am waiting a 2013 RGU.

IF your vertically challenged, the 06-07 has the old frame that is a tad lower and narrower, the 08 also has old frame but 6 gallon tan makes it feel bulkier.and 08 is kind of a bastard year. 09 would ne my choice new frame no cat.

Thanks for all the good input. Im 6Ft 200lb so I can handle any size changes. I just checked out a couple around my area. Found a 2010 FXHX, 3K mi, $14,500 eager to sell so probably would sell for $13,500. Perfect cond. So deals are out there. Im just starting to look for the best bargain and least miles.
So the newer models don't have cats?

Believe the first year FLHX 103" was 2012, so a 2013 yr might have all the bugs out.
Keep my eye out for a deal on a 2013. Surly someone wants to get reid of a 13 for a Rushmore.
