Default harley premium front cartridge install
has anyone installed a set? the shop manual lists 10.7 oz oil for cartridge fork.does anyone know what the proper amount of oil?I have the fork oil gauge but was not looking to disassemble the forks.

no its not. before I call the service dept I will dissassemble and set the level.

What are you asking? Have you installed these cartridges? If so what do the instructions that came with them say?

the Progressive Mono Tube kit I put in over the winter called for 5 oz stock forks call for 9 1/2 oz

Don't go by the fluid capacity. You won't be able to get the right level. You need to add oil to the level specified in the instructions. You can find the instructions on the HD site.

You need a proper fork oil level gauge. You saved hella $$ on those, get the right tool for the job ;-)

I have the tool and will empty dissassemble the use the tool for the proper level
